About the Speakers

Nick Oestreich has a background in the traditional recruitment industry, but he struggled to identify with their salesdriven business model. Since joining Uplink, he is responsible for the further growth of the community, cooperations, account management as well as project postings and the corresponding matching process.

Marc Clemens is founder of the freelancer community and marketplace CodeControl. Before starting CodeControl, he freelanced himself, founded Sommelier Privé and worked for the incubator Team Europe. He is absolutely passionate about the Future of Work. With CodeControl, he and his team want to make the life of freelancers easier and bring joy to their workplaces.

Margaux Miller is the Head of Community at Toptal – focused on connecting Toptal’s exclusive and fully remote network of top talent around the world through networking events, pro bono work, mentorship programs, and more. Margaux has 11+ years experience building networks and partnerships, leading community engagement, and overseeing program direction, working primarily in the technology industry and with innovative start-ups. Actively engaged in both personal and corporate social responsibility, Margaux founded the Manitoba Women in Tech group, and is an advocate for diversity in tech as well as digital literacy and accessibility.
